Job Description

Jardeg is hiring an Excavator Operator to join the MEG Turnaround project team on site near Conklin, Alberta. Acces to site is via drive-in/drive-out only.This is a temporary position on an 8/6 rotation.Excavator / Heavy equip operators use a variety of mobile machine and attachments. They excavate, grade and landscape, as well as move material and equipment.Excavator / Heavy equip operators perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled work in the operation of heavy machinery and trucksExcavator Operators will be expected to do but are not limited to the following tasks:

• Receive written and oral instruction from Supervisor regarding material to move or excavate
• Prepare the base to the required specifications
• Responsible to ensure stone is graded and compacted
• Operate heavy equipment to excavate, move, lift and stockpile materials
• Clean and lubricate equipment

Minimum Requirements:

• 3 or more years of related experience
• Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS-09 or 2020) Certification
• H2S Alive
• OSSA or Energy Safety Canada Certified Fall Protection
• Aerial Work Platform
• Fit Test - 3M / North 7700 Series for Half Face Quantitative Mask Fit Test
• Class 5 Driver’s License and a clean 5 Year Driver’s Abstract
