  • Washing of vehicles at wash facility
  • Pickup and delivery of vehicles
  • Shop clean-up and general housekeeping
  • Snow removal, as required
  • Assist Fleet Heavy Equipment Technicians and Fleet Coordinator as required
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and minor repairs as directed by Fleet Heavy Equipment Technicians
  • Receive, stock and count parts inventory in the Fleet Warehouse and C-Can when required
  • Organize, collect and dispose of shop recyclables
  • Change out and/or service support equipment in the field as required
  • Follow and support MEG safety program policies and procedures throughout the work site
  • Provide Hazard Identification Cards as required
  • Report incidents, following up appropriately with corrective and preventative measures as required
  • Ensure work related incidents are reported immediately to the Fleet Mechanic, Fleet Coordinator and MEG Health and Safety Coordinator
  • Working under the supervision of the Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician, this position will conduct maintenance and repairs on multiple parts and equipment, such as generators, trucks, front-end loaders, backhoe, man-lift, Light towers, compressors, etc.
What you will bring to MEG:
  • A High School Diploma is required
  • H2S Alive and Standard First Aid is required
  • A Minimum class 5 driver’s license
  • Effective communicator with the ability to foster and promote cooperation and work collaboratively
  • Self-starter, with the ability to work both with a team or independently
  • Experience working with diverse communities and groups
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors, in all seasons, in extreme weather
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, repetitively
  • This is a Fly-In, Fly-Out position, working on a 7&7 rotation (Tuesday - Tuesday), flying out of Calgary or Edmonton
