If you’re eager to work on innovative projects, be part of a great team and become an employee-owner, Graham is the place for you.Graham is seeking a Materials Coordinator to join our team at the MEG Energy project turnaround in the Conklin, AB area.This is a temporary position for our Turnaround project scheduled to run from April 2022 to approximately May 2022.Schedule is a 6/1 for the duration of the shutdown window.This position will provide hands on technical expertise to the materials management function within large industrial construction projects.Minimum Requirements:

  • 4 years’+ of related experience or combined experience/education equivalent
  • Experience in logistics and materials coordination is required.
  • Intermediate Computer Skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Construction Safety Training System (CSTS) Certification required
  • Able to travel to site
  • Able to work night shift, if required
Responsibilities:
  • all receiving, inventory control, issuing of material and logistics activities.
  • utilize previous experience and formal training to manage all activities and systems, ensuring effective and efficient use of all company policies and procedures.
  • Comply with the internal and external regulatory processes. (CSOX, ISO, ABSA)
  • Work with the project team to understand the construction schedule and material delivery requirements.
  • timely communication of construction material availability status, given the work face schedule and scope of work (bill of material).
  • Order tools and equipment on site, track and record deliveries.
  • Ensure invoices are coded accurately.
  • Assist with materials on/off site, as required.
  • Tracking material status and reporting on all purchase orders and requests for release from warehouse in alignment with schedule requirements.
  • Utilize Material Status Report (MSR) to manage and communicate to the projects as per the Construction Execution Plan (CEP) and client contractual obligations.
  • Request release of client provided materials in accordance with the schedule requirements.
  • Monitor and assist Overage, Shortage, and Damage (OS&D) processes to closure.
  • Support project team Change Management process, including trends and Request for Information (RFI); as well as initiate, track and drive Request for Information (RFI’s) as required to perform coordination activities.
  • Track delivery of client supplied material according to the client contract term and conditions; and work with the project team to resolve non-compliance.
  • Identify material shortages to schedule and issue requisitions as required
  • assist with expediting material as required.
  • Monitoring of all deliverables in all stages throughout the project to completion.
  • Actively participate to identify areas of opportunity and barriers for effective performance.
  • Participate in reconciliation activities to support the warehouse weekly cycle counting process.
  • Adhere to the material management plan within the project Construction Execution Plan (CEP).
  • Adhere to company Infrastructure processes, including Supply Chain processes.
  • Accurately and timely manages data for material allocation activities within formal and informal information systems (SmartPlant Materials).
  • Work with the procurement department to procure and expedite “short” material identified through the Work Face Planning process or as required.
  • Work with the Supply Chain Management (SCM) team to effectively manage and coordinate the flow of all materials to the work face.
  • Work with the project team to support project schedule and capacity changes.
  • Respond to and clarify questions concerning material and logistical transactions.
  • Seeks advice and guidance for difficult or complex tasks from Supply Chain Management (SCM) or Project Management staff.
  • Interface with company Planning teams and functions for all material requirements.
  • Interface with client team to support the efficient delivery of materials.
  • Support the coordination of the project, work face planning, procurement, client, and materials management teams’ efforts to comply with schedule requirements.
  • Collaborate with other functions to enhance project success on an as needed basis required by the Materials Lead.
  • Post, review and print off any required information from the company Document Management System which pertains to current tasks, responsibilities and projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.
