Outages are planned in the Conklin area with work starting in May.What we Offer:

  • Competitive rate of $50/hour with a $3/hour night shift premium
  • Camp accommodations provided
  • Travel or allowance provided depending on the project
  • Day and night shifts, working 12hr days with opportunity for overtime
  • Project expected to last 4 weeks
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Install new mechanical equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, air dryers, converters, heat exchangers, relief valves, pressure-reducing valves, condensate tanks, recirculation pumps, booster pumps, pneumatic controls, coils, isolation valves, 3-way valves, condensate traps)
  • Fabricate and weld piping/equipment supports, brackets, guides
  • Fit up and prepare piping requiring welded joints
  • Liaise and collaborate with other trades, consultants and suppliers
  • Cleans condensate traps and equipment strainers
  • Provides occasional guidance to the primary function of others, including training.
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications to determine layout requirements
  • Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
  • Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
  • Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
  • Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
  • Test system for leaks using testing equipment
  • Other duties as assigned
Role Specifications:
  • Journeyman Pipefitter/Steamfitter (Red Seal preferred) or apprentice status
  • H2S Alive certificate and CSO certification (or combination of SCOT and OSSA Regional or BSO) required
  • First Aid, confined space, fall arrest and AWP certifications are all considered an asset
  • Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
  • Receptive to change - can adapt to changing circumstances
  • Ability to lift and manipulate objects of up to 80 lbs. for 50 feet is required
  • Able to provide a negative pre-employment drug and alcohol test
