Equivalent experience in a construction-related position will also be considered.- At least 10yrs of heavy civil construction experience.- Experience estimating and developing bids for heavy civil projects.- Experience collaborating with owners, contractors, and other project team members to provide engineering and cost data regarding project feasibility- Previous field operations experience.- Strong organizational and time management skills.- Safety oriented, 10-hour and 30-hour OSHA certificates are preferred.- Strong work ethic - Willing to do what it takes to get the job done.- Ability to function as a team-builder/player- The ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments.- Work with the project and estimating team to develop estimates for large complex heavy civil projects.- Reviewing, analyzing and interpreting Contract Documents (specifications, drawings, and reference information) to develop detailed, comprehensive cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects- Review accuracy of quantity takeoffs and material pricing.- Preparing value engineering solutions; including cost, schedule, and Owner benefits.- Preparing responses to Request for Qualifications (RFQ #39;s) and Request for Proposals (RFP #39;s).- Work with the accounting and equipment departments to determine labor and equipment costs.- Develop scopes of work and project schedules.- Work with the marketing team to prepare proposal and technical documents.Equal Opportunity Employer Veterans/Disabled, E-Verify EmployerID: 2023-1365External Company Name: Barnard Construction CompanyExternal Company URL: www.barnard-inc.com
