Job Description

The Environmental Regulatory Specialist/Project Manager will play a pivotal role in our Environment Services Business Unit. They will work closely with clients and project team members to establish, oversee, and report on regulatory activities pertaining to upstream and midstream oilamp; gas facilities.What would you be doing- Coordination of multi-disciplinary teams in preparing regulatory applications for routine to complex applications (projects related to Oil and Gas facilities, wells and pipelines).- Oversees preparing and drafting regulatory roadmap, applications, notifications and coordinating responses to information requests and compliance conditions from applicable regulatory bodies.- Takes initiative to identify and define issues and recommend appropriate courses of action to decision-makers.- Liaise with government and regulatory contacts in representing clients in its regulatory applications and submissions.- Provides analysis of regulatory risks and opportunities for new business considerations.- Evaluating Request for Proposals, preparing responses, developing work scopes, budgets and schedules, and providing project management.Does this sound like you- More than 8+ years of relevant regulatory and environmental experience in the Oil and Gas, mining, or renewables sector.- Technical Diploma or University Degree in environmental science or related discipline.- Strong knowledge of and familiarity with applicable federal and provincial laws, regulations, guidelines, and practices.- Strong organizational skills and an ability to support diverse client groups and handle multiple project files.- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well independently and in a team environment.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence decision-makers.- Proficiency in planning and control of work in a multi-project, deadline-driven environment.- Ability to develop strong working relationships with individuals from various backgrounds.- Able to prioritize work, multi-task and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume team environment.- Proactive approach to problem-solving with a solid ability to take initiative.- Proven ability to build relationships across various organizations.Perks of the job- Competitive compensation.- Health coverage for you and your family.- Opportunities for internal development and growth.- Professional designation allowance.Other important detailsThis position has beenidentifiedas a safety sensitive position and will require completion of a drug and alcohol testing.Why FLINTFLINT strivesevery dayto be recognized as your employer of choice, modelling our core values not only to our customers but also to our employees.
