The Intermediate Electricalamp; Instrumentation Engineer - Facilities, will be responsible for supporting the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems within the balance of plant operations. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the role will involve collaborating with a team of engineers and technicians to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of the plant.KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI):SYSTEM DESIGNamp; ENGINEERING (Weighting 50%) Electrical Systems Design and Engineering- Assist in the design and engineering of electrical systems for the balance of the plant, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and control systems.- Collaborate with senior engineers to develop equipment specifications and select appropriate electrical components.- Contribute to load calculations, short circuit analysis, and coordination studies.- Assist in the procurement process by preparing technical specifications, evaluating vendor proposals, and participating in equipment inspections and factory acceptance tests.Instrumentation and Control Systems :- Assist in the design, configuration, and implementation of instrumentation and control systems.- Support the selection and specification of instruments, control valves, and field devices.- Assist in developing and implementing control strategies and logic diagrams. Conducting calibration, loop checking, and commissioning of instrumentation systems.- Coordinate with construction teams, contractors, and technicians to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards.E quipment Integrationamp; Coordination- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure proper integration of electrical and instrumentation systems with other plant equipment and systems.- Provide technical input and support to ensure seamless integration and coordination.- Participate in design reviews and contribute to optimization of system performance and reliability.COMPLIANCEamp; MONITORING (Weighting 30%)Maintenanceamp; Reliability- Assist in troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation issues and perform root cause analysis.- Support the development and implementation of maintenance strategies for electrical and instrumentation systems.- Contribute to periodic inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance activities.- Contribute to the development of maintenance procedures, preventive maintenance schedules, and equipment inspection routines.- Participate in equipment failure analysis and root cause investigations.- Collaborate with maintenance teams to optimize equipment reliability, identify improvement opportunities, and implement reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) techniques.Healthamp; Safety Compliance- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards in electrical and instrumentation design, installation, and operation.- Contribute to safety audits, hazard assessments, and risk mitigation activities.- Support the implementation and testing of safety instrumented systems (SIS) and emergency shutdown systems (ESD).PROJECT ADMINISTRATION (Weighting 20%) Project Support- Provide support to senior engineers in managing electrical and instrumentation aspects of projects.- Assist in coordinating with project teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely execution of activities.- Contribute to reviewing project specifications, drawings, and documentation.- Assist in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians.- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and management, to ensure project objectives are met.Documentationamp; Reporting- Assist in preparing technical specifications, reports, and documentation related to electrical and instrumentation systems.- Maintain accurate records of equipment, maintenance activities, and modifications.- Support the generation of progress reports, cost estimates, and technical presentations as required.QUALIFICATIONS:- Bachelor #39;s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.- 5+ years of experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering within the balance of plant operations- Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution systems, control systems, and instrumentation principles.- Familiarity with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations.- Proficiency in electrical design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP).- Experience with equipment selection, procurement, and vendor management.- Good understanding of maintenance strategies and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) techniques.- Knowledge of electrical and instrumentation safety practices and regulations.- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skillsWe offer competitive wages, training, flexible, dynamic, and exciting work environment.We thank you for your application and interest in our organization.
