Working with us means that you #39;ll be part of an ambitious, diverse team that #39;s committed to changing what it is to be blind today.We #39;re looking for a mission-driven Program Coordinator, Vision Matesamp; Peer Mentorship who is passionate about creating more accessible, inclusive, and equitable communities across Canada where people with low vision have unlimited opportunities and can experience life free from barriers and discrimination.Your Impact at CNIB- Actively recruits, screens, interviews, hires, matches to assignments, and cultivates volunteers in order to meet the region #39;s needs.- Provides training and direct supervision to those volunteers within both the Vision Mateamp; Peer Mentorship programs.- Collaborates with relevant staff to prepare and update volunteer job profiles, competencies, goals, and tasks in accordance with identified participant and organizational needs.- Manages and keeps up to date the CRM database.- Implements a volunteer recognition and stewardship program.- Coordinates the Peer Mentorship and Vision Mates Programs and provides logistical support to other programs as required.- Provides participant assessments, matching, tracking and support for individuals with sight loss in either the Vision Mate or Peer Mentorship programs.- Development and implementation of new programs as required by National/Regional directives or participant need, under the supervision of the Team Lead.- Speaks at public and private meetings representing the CNIB as required.Who you are:Education and Certifications- Degree or diploma in related field such as business administration, non-profit management, or equivalent work experience.- Volunteer Management Certificate from accredited program would be an asset.Experience and Qualifications- Personal history of volunteerism.- Excellent oral and written communication and public speaking skills.- Detail oriented with excellent multi-project, time management, and computer skills.- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software and database management.- Creative and innovative problem-solving skills.- Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset.- Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset.PerksWe offer industry leading comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards packages and a wide range of perks, including:- Flexible and hybrid working arrangements and schedules.- Opportunities for professional development and growth, including internal inclusion, diversity equity and accessibility (IDEA) initiatives.- Group insurance benefits include dental, health and vision care.- Years of service awards and year-round rewards as part of our employee recognition program.- Enticing internal employee referral program.Be Part of Our MissionIf this sounds like the role for you, please visit our website to submit an application.
