Skydive Toronto Inc has the following job opportunity available (subject to government funding approval) to all young people aged 15 to 30. The duration of the position is from May to September 2023, with the potential to extend into the fall months.“Canada Summer Jobs” is a government sponsored employment program. Skydive Toronto welcomes applications from qualified priority applicants (i.e. students who are members of a visible minority, aboriginal students, newcomers to Canada or students with disabilities).Description: Skydiving ActivitiesRegister skydiving studentsFront line customer serviceSales of gift certificates and merchandiseTandem video host, ushering customers into their tandem skydiving trainingReviewing registration waivers, inputting them into the computer, and taking payments from customersGearing and de-gearing tandem students before and after their jumpAnswering customer emails, phone calls, taking reservationsEnhancing customers experience onsiteGeneral MS office and typing skills. Full training on industry specific software will be providedFull training on skydiving information will be provided as neededRetrieving parachutes from the landing areaIndividual PositionsAs your strengths are recognized, you may be chosen for one of the positions belowVideo Sales and Gear Up – harness and give orientation to customers, fix any video issues, or assist in customers finding their delivered videosManifester – the heart of operations, dispatch customers and airplane loads, manage tasks to keep the daily operations running smoothlyInternal Sales Lead – chase and follow-up with missed enquiries/phone calls, and large groupsGeneral Site CleaningDaily maintenance of the facility including cleaning washrooms, dusting work areas, sweeping and mopping floors, picking up garbage, etc.Assisting ManagementAssisting management with various projectsTaking dictation from the Operations ManagerAssisting the promotions coordinator with various projectsOther Duties and RequirementsAs may be requiredMust be available to work weekendsJob Requirements: Legal to work in CanadaAbility to communicate proficiently in English. Additional languages a benefitAbility to work a flexible schedule, which includes weekendsStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to deal with customer tactfully and effectively in a fast-paced environmentPhysical strength and endurance are required to harness tandem customersTeam player, reliable and focused on customer satisfactionSelf-starter, take initiative, assess priorities, and multitaskStrong computer skills with experience using office computer applicationsPossess an appropriate amount of energy to get things doneGoal and results orientated, focused, empathy towards customer, great at teamworkWork well in a high energy, fast paced environmentJob Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract, SeasonalContract length: 4-7 monthsSalary: $15.50 per hourSchedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Every Weekend

Education:

• Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

• Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
