The Project Manager will place a crucial role in planning, executing, and delivering projects within scope, budget, and schedule. This position requires exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to manage cross-functional teams and ensure project success. This position will be based out of our Coquitlam office located in British Columbia.RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
  • Manage all phases of construction projects, from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project objectives, budget, and schedule.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, resource allocation, and risk assessment.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to define project requirements, goals, and deliverables.
  • Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, providing clear direction, support, and guidance.
  • Monitor and track project progress, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Manage project budgets, expenses, and cost control measures to ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to foster effective communication and collaboration.
  • Oversee procurement activities, including bid analysis, vendor selection, and contract negotiations.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project processes and outcomes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Engineering degree or equivalent with 8-12 years in large construction projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects ranging from $5 million to $50 million
  • Must possess a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven, and an acceptable driving record as determined by Michels Review Team.
DESIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
  • Related construction experience in the rehabilitation of underground infrastructure utilizing various techniques, including Cured-in-Place-Pipe (CIPP), Sprayed-in-Place-Pipe (SIPP), and Sliplining.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, methodologies, and industry best practices. Expertise in fields such as civil sewer construction and trenchless rehabilitation is an asset.
  • Experience with: MS Office Suite, MS Project, or P6 Primavera.
BENEFITSThe target salary range: $100,000 to 130,000 CAD per annum.The starting salary is determined based on the successful candidate’s knowledge, experience and internal equity.
