Job Description

DEV Hotel and Conference Centre is looking for an outstanding individual to join us in the position of Front Desk Agent.The DEV facility is home to the largest hotel and conference center in Eastern Ontario. The site is located on 75 acres of indoor and outdoor space in Cornwall, Ontario and is ideal for gatherings and conferences of any size. The hotel offers over 500 guest rooms, as well as 70,000 square feet of dynamic and flexible meeting space. The Front Desk Agent is primarily responsible for customer arrivals and departures, providing customer service to clients.Duties

  • Greet guests upon arrival, and verify reservation information
  • Assign rooms, hand out keys and provide hotel information
  • Ensure guest satisfaction
  • Enter arrivals and departures into the Property Management System (PMS).
  • Respond to customer inquiries to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Provide information and referrals to guests.
  • Handle and follow up on customer comments and complaints.
  • Perform monetary transactions and process customer billing.
  • Sales, customer service and service oriented skills.
  • Knowledge of hotel management software (Lightspeed Galaxy system an asset).
  • Verbal communication skills, smiling and very good interpersonal skills

Qualifications sought
  • 1 year or less of experience in a similar position in the hotel industry

Job Type: Full-timeSalary: From $15.50 per hourSchedule:
