For more information, visit www.cornwall.caOverviewThe City of Cornwall’s Information Technology and Telecommunication Department is expanding and is currently recruiting an Analyst to join it’s ITT Operational Support Services team. Guided by its ITT Master Plan, the department maintains and manages all enterprise systems, applications, networks, end user devices, and communications systems, which support the operations of the Municipality allowing it to operate efficiently. Reporting to the Supervisor of ITT Operational Support Services, the Analyst is a key member of the Municipality’s ITT Services team. Analysts support end users through their daily operations, while identifying opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of corporate solutions.The Analyst, ITT Operational Support Services is responsible in ensuring the proper execution of the following:

  • Support local and hosted application in a Windows based environment.
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and repair standard business technologies in an enterprise environment.
  • Provide superior customer service to our end users through various support means (phone, remote assistance and on-site).
  • Maintain detailed information on all incident requests and resolutions via our service request system.
  • Assist the ITT team on various technology related projects on an as needed basis.
  • Assessment and escalation of service and incident requests registered within the service request system.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • 3-year College diploma or University degree in Computer Sciences or Information Technology.
  • 2 years related experience in an integrated information technologies environment.
  • Possess considerable knowledge of information technology components, processes, and developments, including such areas as local and wide area networks, server and workstation operating systems.
  • The ability to provide excellent customer service to end users across all municipal departments.
  • Possess the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and fast paced environment, where adaptability, teamwork and excellent communication skills are essential.
  • Strong listening skills, attention to detail and innovative thinking are strengths enabling you to support end users while adhering to corporate policies.
  • The ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Possess and maintain a valid unrestricted Driver’s License (G class).
