Job Description

Leclerc, a North American leader in the snack food manufacturing industry, is seeking a maintenance planner to join its most recent production plant located in Cornwall, ON.Leclerc, a thriving family company, manufactures snack bars, crackers and cookies for distribution to more than thirty countries all over the world. For the past decade, Leclerc invests in its Canadian facilities with state-of-the-art production facilities two in Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures, Hawkesbury and Cornwall.MAINTENANCE PLANNERPOSITION SUMMARYReporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the maintenance planner is responsible for the planning of maintenance work, and the preventive maintenance management system. S/he also participates in the implementation of the continuous improvement program.RESPONSABILITIES

  • Provide the full extent of maintenance work needed to conduct the relevant repair / preventive / predictive design-out activities on the organization’s plant and equipment;
  • Works with Maintenance leads, supervisors and planners to determine resource availability and work to level the work force;
  • Verifies all material, information, tools and Labor are available prior to scheduling;
  • Actively participate in scheduling meeting with operation partners to finalize priority of work orders, optimum downtime windows, and necessary lead times.
  • Responsible for up-keep and accuracy of equipment maintenance history and job records database;
  • Responsible for up-keep and accuracy of technical information on processes, plant and equipment
  • Schedule maintenance work into production plan;
  • Continually improving planning, scheduling, data management and job reporting systems to increase planning effectiveness and efficiency;
  • Collaborate with maintenance supervision to schedule manpower and resources for the most effective production and maintenance outcomes;
  • Review all planned work request from assigned area and determine validity and accuracy of information and engage the appropriate resources to set a preliminary priority;
  • Obtain and organize all information required for the preventive maintenance work to perform the work;
  • Approach all aspect of the work being performed with safety as the highest priority;
  • Assist the Plant Manager to manage health and safety activities including procedures and documentation;
  • Inform the maintenance team of updates and new practices regarding equipment;
  • Use SAP system
REQUIREMENTS
  • Hold a degree in a related field or equivalent experience;
  • Have three (3) to five (5) years of experience in similar role, preferably in fast pace environment;
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, ERP systems (SAP); SAP software knowledge is considered an asset
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, excellent judgment, strong sense of ethics & integrity, result oriented;
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional time management;
  • Full proficiency and demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office software’s and various office equipment;
  • Ability to stand; walk; Ability to work in office setting;
  • Ability to work under moderate supervision;
  • Ability to work flexible hours and weekends when needed;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; Communicate effectively with other company facilities and employees;
  • Must have an overall positive, can-do attitude and demonstrate the initiative to take on any challenge;
  • Strong organizing, prioritizing and multi-tasking skills;
