Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensures adherence to established operations and safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensures that all employees on shift are trained and fit to complete their tasks
  • Maintains standards in the areas of housekeeping, safety, attendance, operationaldiscipline, process safety management, and scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
  • Responsible for communications up and down the line including interdepartmental, andprovides accurate timely communications from team members are accurate and complete.
  • Responsible for responding to personnel, operational and safety and environmental incidents.
  • Ensure products are completed in accordance with customer specifications and productionschedules
  • Kronos Time and Attendance approval process, employee schedules and overtime
  • Participate in employee development programs
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
  • OSSD High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in the chemical coating industry an asset
  • College degree or diploma in business administration or chemistry an asset
  • 3 years Supervisory experience in a unionized manufacturing work environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and delegation skills
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems
  • Above average skills with computers and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Critical-thinking skills
