We are seeking talented and passionate people who enjoy working in a collaborative, innovative environment to join our dynamic team.We are seeking a Material Control Technician to join our Warehouse department at our Corunna Site. In this position you will provide support to the Site to ensure materials are accurately replenished, received, issued to end users and the staging, handling and delivery of the material are complete in a safe and efficient manner. This is inclusive of Cycle Counting for inventory accuracy.You Will Use Your Expertise To:Unload trucks; accurately receive stock, non-stock purchase orders for Corunna site. Inspect materials for defects and damages/quality issues. SAP required to complete these transactions.Maintain accurate material locations in SAP.Distribute credit card orders received.Perform daily Cycle Counts on inventory, investigate errors, reconcile balances.Provide fast, courteous service to end users requesting materials ensuring SAP system is updated to reflect usage.Following pick list procedure, pick and stage materials for work orders.Provide delivery of materials when required across the site utilizing van/fork truck.Return unused materials to stock.Collaborate with Customs Compliance to ship materials for the site end users including Stores repaired materials/capital spares. Shipping in accordance with site procedures and Customs regulations and laws.Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.Maintain Bulk storage/laydown/remote storage areas.Rotate through the various areas of the warehouse according to the established schedule.A working knowledge of the Material Master Create and Change Request process, set up new or change existing, delete MID’s, etc.Interface with Stakeholders, Procurement, Expediting as required to assist with any troubleshooting.Expectations Include:Attend and participate in required audits or planned inspections (e.g., chemical/cycle count/Responsible Care)Perform and encourage peers to follow safe work practicesComplete required Responsible Care observations monthlyTroubleshoot/problem solve inventory discrepancies with appropriate site contactAttend required number of Safety MeetingsWhat We Are Looking For:Post-secondary education with a focus on Business, CITT, APICS, PMAC or combined with proven warehouse experience (3-5 years)/High school with 5 years warehouse experienceStrong computer/technology skills, Shipping and Receiving experienceForklift certified, ability to operate hand truck, pallet jack and relevant warehouse equipmentValid driver’s licenseSAP experience an assetExcel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint experienceAbility to lift 22.5kgAbility to prioritize and organize tasks, attention to detail is essentialYou Can Stand Out If:You are passionate about your work and put care and thought into all that you do.You are responsible and follow through with your commitments to others and to safety.You are innovative and are willing to challenge your biases when problem solving.You are collaborative , inclusive, and work well with others towards team goals.Additional Information:Relocation will NOT be considered for this positionThis role requires up to 0-10% travelWork will be conducted both indoors and outdoors in all seasonsPositions will include some lifting and climbing of ladders within various levels of the unitsOvertime and callouts are a requirement of the role due to the 24 hour per day plant operationIn order to fulfil the duties of this role, the successful candidate will be required to wear respiratory protective equipment.
