Evening/Night Personnel4 of 4 off rotation, alternating one month of evenings (3:30 - 11:30 PM) and one month of nights (11:30 PM to 7:30 AM)With a passion toward service excellence for residents, families, guests and team members, the Evening/Night Personnel is responsible for assisting with meal preparation, serving residents and cleaning work areas. Completes housekeeping duties as assigned.ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE MEASURESBe responsible for ensuring that Rocky View Foundation policies, procedures and guidelines are followed in the food service area for quality assurance and safety.Follows proper food handling procedures.Prepares food items following time schedules, prescribed recipes, procedures and guidelines. Preparation and food service in appropriate containers and in a timely manner.Maintains Food Safety Certification.Ensure all temperature sheets and checklists are completed and up to date. Assisting with catering for Rocky View Foundation functions as required.Participates in food and equipment product evaluation.Ensures facility safety by locking doors, setting alarms.Maintains and sanitizes work area and all related equipmentMaintains food in a temperature safety zone. Initiates corrective action as required. Monitors prep of food items, monitors food spoilage. Labels, dates and stores food items appropriately.Practices safe and proper use of food service equipment.Adheres to specific job responsibilities as outlined.Identifies maintenance needs and submits work orders as appropriate.Attends all staff meetings, safety meetings and department meetings and reports as required.Interacts with team members, residents, guests and families in a positive, caring manner.Performs all tasks in accordance with RVF safety procedures and requirements.DOCUMENTATIONAccurate, comprehensive, timely documentation in the department Communication book.Accurate, timely documentation in Resident Communication book, documents resident care, emergency management and family notification.PERFORMANCE MEASURES INCLUDE:Polite, spirit of service to residents, families, guests and team members, while performing job tasks.Accurate, comprehensive and timely documentation of any maintenance requests.Accurate, timely, professional documentation in the department Communication bookAccurate, comprehensive, professional documentation in the Resident Communication book.Ensures proper storage and disposal of all food items.SAFETY:Maintains certification of CPR and First Aid.Demonstrates thorough knowledge of all resident, occupational health and safety and emergency preparedness and response to all Rocky View Foundation policies and procedures.Identifies and mitigates unsafe conditions in the work environment, including immediate reporting of any unsafe conditions.Demonstrates the mission of Rocky View Foundation and lives out our vision.Must provide proof of immunization against the Covid-19 virus prior to commencing employment with Rocky View Foundation.PERFORMANCE MEASURES INCLUDE:Understands and follows and applies all Rocky View Foundation Standards of Conduct.Demonstrates a passion for caring toward residents, families, guests and team members.Collaborates, communicates and shares knowledge and learning experiences with team members.TEAM WORK:Cares for and actively participates and assists other team members to achieve and maintain a responsible atmosphere of resident centered care and service excellence.PERFORMANCE MEASURES INCLUDE;Coordinates with team members to ensure that all required tasks are completed on a daily basis.Communicates any equipment issues to Manager and Maintenance personnel as required.QUALIFICATIONSAlberta Grade 12 or equivalentOne -year previous experience in a related environment.Food Handlers Course and current CPR and First AidGood Organizational and interpersonal skills.Understanding of WHMIS requirements.A desire to work with seniors.Flexible, willing and possesses a positive attitude.A high standard of hygiene and personal appearance.Must be able to perform duties with minimal supervision.Quick Apply
