Job Description

  • Monitors (for safety reasons) the activities of associates on-site after hours including the watering staff, basket washers, box makers and any other hourly associates present. This includes:
  • Regular safety/wellbeing checks on associates working after hours
  • Performing basic maintenance tasks such as turning on fan units, pumps etc.
  • Completing accident forms and incident reports as required
  • Responsible for overseeing the facility through-out the night by performing continuous rounds and security checks
  • Follow the farm’s working alone procedure including regular phone check-ins with off site security company
  • Routine checks of farm accommodation for disturbances
  • Responsible for reporting any issues with the facility or safety issues with associates to the Grower, Manager or designate
  • Checks moistures, temperatures, air movement, pH, CO2 levels and other readings in beds and growing rooms as required
  • Snow removal as necessary
  • Performs any other duties that may be assigned as required
Shift:
  • 10:00 pm to 6:00 am
  • 5 days/week
Qualifications:
  • Previous farm or agricultural experience an asset
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada
  • Must be at least 16 years of age
