The unique landscape of the area contrasts the surrounding prairie landscapes, making it an exciting destination for winter recreation opportunities.Hill Operations – Lifts duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring excellent guest service
  • Safe operation of ski hill lifts including quad chair, magic carpet, handle tow and T-bar, as well as safe loading and unloading of guests
  • Maintaining lift area including ramps, mazes and buildings
  • Crowd control and ticket checking
  • Assist with snow removal and de-icing walkways and ramps
  • Assist in set-up and cleanup of ski hill facilities
  • May be required to assist in other departments as needed
  • This position primarily works outdoors in variable winter weather conditions and cold temperatures
QualificationsEducation:
  • Some high school education required
Assets:
  • Excellent communication, customer service and team work skills
  • Physically fit as this is a physically demanding position
  • Previous ski hill experience (especially lift operation) is an asset
  • Knowledge of park facilities/services, especially Hidden Valley Ski Resort
  • Good judgment and ability to work well as part of a team
  • Experience operating and maintaining equipment , including snowmaking equipment is an asset

  • 5.2 percent of regular wage earnings instead of paid holidays.
  • 6 percent of regular wage earnings instead of annual vacation pay.
Notes
  • Shifts are 8 hours a day, up to 40 hours a week.
  • Candidates must be willing to work weekends and holidays, December through March 2022. Weekend premiums will apply.
  • Multiple positions are available.
