Together, we can build a rock-solid future.Our Dartmouth, NS office is seeking an Engineering Leader with geotechnical / materials consulting experience to build relationships internally and externally and use your engineering expertise, client relationship and account management experience to grow opportunities within our expanding team and organization.In this position you will be working in a partnership with local business leaders and will collaborate with other groups, including but not limited to Environmental Services, Transportation, Mining, Power, Oilamp; Gas, Buildings, and Infrastructure to enhance integrated business planning and client management.Your Key Responsibilities- Lead the Dartmouth, NS Geotechnical Engineering team and be responsible for the promotion of a health and safety focused mindset, resource management processes, recruitment, career development, coaching and mentoring, and leadership development.- Lead and manage geotechnical engineering projects with support from junior professionals and peers on the team.- Develop and maintain industry relationships and visibility with current and prospective clients, sub-consultants, competitor /teaming partners, and potential recruits.- Lead and coordinate business development efforts and proposals.- Assist in the development of the annual business plan and budget for the group.QualificationsYour Capabilities and Credentials- Understanding of the infrastructure market in Atlantic Canada. In particular a thorough understanding of the key business and project drivers for developing opportunities with private industry and all levels of government.- Strong leadership and business development skills, including significant experience building and maintaining productive relationships with a client base within a client account management framework. Such experience within a consulting organization is considered a strong asset.- Previous success in development and executing customer and market segment strategic plans is required.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience delivering high quality presentations.- The ability and willingness to travel within Canada for planned meetings or conferences. The ability to travel locally within the province to respond to project specific needs or client meetings, based on project demands.Education and Experience- Bachelor #39;s degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or Geological Engineering from a recognized university- Licensed Professional Engineer with at least 5 years professional geotechnical/materials engineering experience including demonstrated leadership capabilities with an engineering consulting firm.Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.
