Job Description

Job DescriptionThe Sign Shop Lead will champion AWP’s core values and mission of protecting our customers’ people, business, and time and will lead the manufacturing and production responsibilities for the traffic products sign shop. This position reports directly to AWP Safety/Safety First Contracting Limited’s Product Manager.Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the order production queue with the Product Manageramp; sign shop laborers.
  • Provide oversight of shop laborers.
Sign Manufacturing
  • Operate wide format printeramp; software, laminator, and vinyl sign cutter and software.
  • Apply reflective sheeting, vinyl, and transfer tape.
  • Cut, prepare, and finish substrates (wood, aluminum, coroplast).
Utility Trailer Maintenance
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on Utility Trailers, to include, wiring, soldering and light duty welding.
Truck Upfitting, including installation.
  • Responsible for truck upfitting, including installation-BACKRACK, light bars and Flashing light units (arrow boards).
Other Shop Duties
  • Manufacture and paint wood barricades.
  • Perform maintenance of sign shop/warehouse manufacturing equipment.
  • Preparing orders for shipment/customer pick up.
  • Regular operation of a forklift.
  • Ensure overall shop cleanliness.
