The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of how to create and implement marketing campaigns that effectively combine direct response and performance marketing tactics. The Lottery and Gaming portfolio is one of the largest fundraising portfolios at Heartamp; Stroke and is expanding rapidly. Gaming, in particular, is a key area of growth, with plans to expand over the next three years.(Please note this is a hybrid working role and the incumbent is required to be in the Toronto office at least 2 times a month.) How you will make an impact every dayStrategic Planning and Budgeting

  • Drives and leads Lotteryamp; Gaming marketing strategy and planning informed by data insights and analysis.
  • Works with the Director to manage the development and execution of the Lotteryamp; Gaming’s annual marketing and communications plan
  • Leads all the creative and media strategies for the Lottery’s to ensure the creative and media plans drive results.
  • Monitors and evaluates trendsamp; competitors to identify new opportunities and recommend adjustments to strategies as appropriate.
  • Proposes innovative and test ideas to promote long term growth and success of portfolio
  • Leads and develops strategies to engage lottery customers throughout the year through various engagement tactics.
  • Responsible for planning and overseeing all aspects of multi-million-dollar budget, including marketing, and prizing to deliver the best possible margin/net contribution for the Lotteryamp; Gaming programs
  • Works with the Data Analytics team to guide the development of revenue forecasts as part of the annual budget process
  • Works with the Shared Services department on risk management related to gaming requirements
  • Works closely with reporting analysts to deliver revenue and expense targets to the Executive Team.
  • Constantly reviews the response and conversion metrics and incorporates them into tactical programs.
  • Works closely with the Dataamp; Analytics team to monitor and evaluate the performance of campaigns to ensure that goals are delivered per plan.
Campaign Planning and Execution
  • Responsible for overseeing all aspects of marketing campaigns, including agency briefings, media planning, creative production, tracking, and post-campaign analysis.
  • Leads creative development with agency partners and filters test ideas that balance short-term and long-term goals.
  • Analyzes metricsamp; performance to find innovative ways to turn results data into tangible and meaningful wins.
  • Responsible for overseeing all aspects of marketing campaigns, including agency briefings, media planning, creative production, tracking, and post-campaign analysis.
  • Provides data-driven, strategic marketing direction and execution oversight in a multi-channel environment, including TV/ Radio, direct mail, paid media, emailamp; social channels
  • Leads the end-to-end tactical planning to grow all digital channels, including web, email, social and SEM and SEO
  • Possesses a deep understanding of data, predictive modelling, and segmentation to target communications and make business decisions to drive success.
  • Leads prizing strategy to best drive engagement.
Internal and External Relationship Management
  • Builds, manages and sustains internal and external business relationships to ensure programs adhere to contractual and regulatory policies
  • Works across the organization to keep informed of other programs and activities to identify opportunities for lotteryamp; gaming integration
  • Employs proper escalation protocols to mitigate program issues and risks
  • Leads the relationship with prize vendors to negotiate prize line-ups and their associated costs.
Talent Management
  • Leads talent development, ensuring high standards, competence and that staff is well supported in fulfilling their accountabilities, developing their skills and achieving their career potential.
  • Providing clear direction on business goals and priorities; ensuring optimal resource deployment to achieve business goals.
  • Builds and develop cohesive lateral relationships cross-functionally.
  • Establishes performance plans and objectives and reviews on an ongoing basis; provides coaching and feedback as per the performance management process
  • As required, recruits skilled talent in support of current and future Foundation needs, following Foundation policies, interviewing methodology and assessment guidelines.
Who we needEducation
  • University degree in Marketing
Experience
  • 8+ years of experience specifically in a data driven, multichannel environment
  • 2-4 years’ experience leading, coaching and developing direct reports
  • Experience working in a regulated environment
  • Web site and Ecommerce project management experience a plus
Skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of digital fundraising or sales
  • Established ability to work with data and analytics to maximize response
  • Must be able to interpret the data and construct the story
  • Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong Project Management skills, including delivery of successful projects on time with attention to details
  • Ability to manage external vendors/ suppliers in a professional manner
  • Ability to establish solid working relationships with staff and vendors at all levels
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure
  • Ability to use good judgment in assessing difficult situations
  • Ability to manage high volume of material and ensure accuracy
  • Self-initiative is a must
  • Flexibility and a very strong sense of urgency
