Join us at Cascadia Metals, where resilience meets innovation, and we shape a dynamic future together.Cascadia Metals is actively seeking qualified candidates for the position of Loader/Floater to work out of our Delta branch. This role is a permanent full-time position. Responsibilities:

  • Loading trucks from small customer pick-ups to full B-train trailers
  • Unloading trucks with coil, sheet and site supplies
  • Unload rail cars and containers
  • Operate a forklift to move material within the warehouse and yard
  • Organizing and sorting material for loading and space optimization
  • Scanning loads with an RF scanner
  • Reading paperwork to ensure the accuracy of the load
  • Double-checking loads for accuracy
  • Poly wrap trucks
  • Other duties as required
Requirements:
  • Must have 5 years of forklift experience
  • Valid Forklift license
  • Must be reliable and punctual
  • Must have good command of writing
  • Crane experience preferred but not mandatory
  • Steel handling experience preferred but not mandatory
  • Flexibility: able to multi-task and work as part of a team
  • Ability to read orders and complete basic paperwork
