Job Description

Our team is growing, and Marcon Metalfab (www.marconmetal.com) is hiring a CNC Waterjet Operator to join our dynamic team based in Delta’s Tilbury Park.Marcon is equipped with a plasma beamline, plasma plate tables, tube laser, plate laser, water jets, and robotic welders.Coupled with an unconditional commitment to providing expert customer service and a rigorous quality management system, Marcon consistently delivers better quality products within tight time frames at prices that are competitive within any industry.We have many long-serving employees here, competitive wages, and excellent benefits. Some places say they have a family atmosphere, but it is truly the case here at Marcon.We are located in Tilbury Industrial Park in Delta BC, with four ways to get here - the Massey Tunnel, Alex Fraser Bridge, South Fraser Perimeter Rd., and Hwy 99.About the Position:Afternoon Shift - Monday-Thursday (10-hour shifts) - 3:15pm-1:45am.Skills/Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in either laser, plasma, or water cutting of steel.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret shop drawings and other documents such as safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Ability to work independently and in conjunction with other team members.
  • Good communication abilities, in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment requiring multi-tasking and prioritizing.
  • Ability to operate a forklift, an overhead crane as well as precision measurement equipment.
  • Commitment to customer service, excellence (attention to detail), innovation (proactivity, continuous improvement), and integrity.
