The Senior Manager, Sales Tax is responsible for (i) providing support to the Director, Sales Tax in fulfilling the compliance, accounting, planning and advisory functions with respect to federal goodsamp; services tax (GST), including harmonized sales tax (HST), and provincial sales tax (for the three non-harmonized provinces) for the Bank and Canadian subsidiaries, (ii) independently managing the sales tax responsibilities of the domestic subsidiaries and, (iii) taking a leading role in the sales tax automation for the Bank and domestic subsidiaries. Job Requirements:Requirements About You:You are organized, goal and deliverables oriented. You can set expectations and deliver. You can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You have exceptional communication and presentation skills. You are collaborative and can interact with any level at an organization.Your Key Qualifications:•CPA in good standing. Completion of the CPA in-Depth GST/HST course required. Completion of GST/HST course in financial services would be an asset. •University degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance or Commerce. •5-8 years of experience in Canadian Sales Tax (Indirect Tax) particular to Financial Institutions.We may also consider individuals with Canadian Sales Tax experience working for a complex sector (i.e., renewable energy, mining, oilamp; gas, pharma).•Experience in managing or leading digital transformation or automation programs in Taxation or Finance would be an asset. •Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP.
