We own and operate a diverse fleet of operated, non-operated and dedicated specialty equipment and assets. Our overall objective within our team is to be operations first call for anything equipment related at Graham.About The RoleReporting to the Operations Accountant, Equipment, Shopsamp; Yards, the Accounting Clerk will perform various accounting, transactional, and data entry tasks and related support to Graham #39;s Equipment, Shopamp; Yards. The role is a business partner and key contributor with the Equipment, Shopamp; Yards (ESY) team. The incumbent is responsible for executing tasks according to established company procedures and as directed. As an entry level position, the Accounting Clerk executes data entry and administrative tasks in support of ESY and demonstrates strong attention to detail, while gaining experience and insight into the equipment accounting function within the industry. The incumbent offers a supporting role to the Operations Accountant in the area of financial reporting, with a focus on troubleshooting issues that arise, required reporting for analysis, and other tasks as directed.As an Accounting Clerk at Graham you will:

  • Support the delivery of consistent, accurate and timely management information to key stakeholders for insight and decision-making purposes.
  • Key contributor to day-to-day accounting and month end activities, including but not limited to:
  • Ensuring billing batches and order settlements are executed as per company standards
  • Processing equipment movement per company policy.
  • Complete location, status and billing rate validations on transfers.
  • Responsible for complete and accurate timekeeping entries for ESY.
  • Prepare monthly billing of external rental contracts.
  • Prepare monthly billing of fuel charges to the business.
  • Deposit and coding of cheques received for ESY.
  • Provide support to the Operations Accountant, including but not limited to:
  • Assist with ad hoc analysis on equipment billing reconciliations.
  • Support the analysis of aging Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable balances.
  • Assist with financial requests from Equipment Managers.
  • Support annual and cycled inventory and equipment counts.
  • Adhere to accounting policies, procedures and internal controls.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of systems and processes, including user acceptance testing for systems upgrades and enhancements.
Qualifications/Experience:
  • High School Diploma is required.
  • Relevant work experience, preferably in the construction, equipment or heavy manufacturing industries is considered an asset.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is required.
  • Deadline oriented.
  • Developing verbal and written communication skills.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • Experience with ERP and financial systems is preferred.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data.
