Job Description

Partner Staffing is currently working with our client seeking a highly motivated and experienced Aquatics Biologist. You will be responsible for collaborating with the leadership team to co-develop processes, standards, and tools which complement our vision for a water management group.You will put your technical expertise, leadership, and project management skills to test as you design and lead field programs, compile, manage and interpret environmental data, compose technical reports, provide technical guidance, and oversight in field operations, and actively grow the aquatic team.RequirementsResponsibilities:

  • Technical leadership for the delivery of high-quality aquatic science and data collection services.
  • Support projects from proposal stage to close-out reporting
  • Plan and lead field assessments to industry standards and prepare reports for projects within a variety of sectors.
  • Lead field programs across northeastern British Columbia, ensuring technical excellence, safety, and quality of deliveries.
  • Work collaboratively with junior, intermediate, and senior staff, sub-consultants, and government agencies.
  • Perform as the technical lead for all aquatic projects including preparation, design, and implementation of work execution plans.
  • Establish water quality monitoring and sampling methodologies, lead water quality monitoring and sampling programs, analyze data, and write summary reports.
  • Organize and implement aquatic baseline assessments, operational and compliance monitoring programs, and aquatic impact assessments, including study design, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Deliver high quality, well-written technical reports on time and within budget.
  • Compile, manage, and interpret environmental data.
  • Prepare or assist with permit applications, environmental assessments, and environmental management plans
Qualifications:
  • Registered Professional Designation Required, P.Bio, R.P. Bio.
  • Mandatory 5 years minimum of managing small and large scale fisheries studies and developing management reports.
  • Experience with environmental assessment.
  • Experience with data collection, data, analysis, and reporting
