The position is full-time and located in the Edmonton, Alberta area. The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for ensuring the department is well-managed and processes are running smoothly. They oversee the daily operations of the Accounts Payable and is responsible for training staff members. Oversee and supervises daily activities and sets priorities for the employees.•Monitor the daily performance of the department.•Ensures invoices are processed following internal controls.•Reform and execute operations and processes as necessary.•Assist in preparing the month end accruals for the corporate finance team•Process invoices, when required.•Provide training on expenses to new employees.•Resolves issues and answers payables related questions.•Provides great customer service and develop relationships with vendors and external/internal clients. •Ensures staff provides great customer service to internal and external clients.•Work with Corporate finance team in month-end and year end closing.•Performs testing of finance related systems enhancements, improvements, and migrations.•Establishes goals and conducts performance reviews of the employees.•Conducts interviews and provides input on hiring new staff.•Coaches team members on career development and training requirements.•Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures.•Performs other duties as assigned
