Job Description

Position SummaryAcuren is currently recruiting for 3 eager project managers to join our Cathodic Protection division in Alberta. These positions will be based in Edmonton or Calgary. This role will be responsible to manage ALL aspects of a given project from start to finish with the assistance of a Sr PM.Responsibilities

  • Working cooperatively with peer Project Managers and Operational stakeholders to resolve resource and schedule contentions.
  • Must have intimate knowledge of all project financials and be able to report on it when asked. Need to understand and know how to manage the expected margins set by management.
  • Managing the Project Staff, providing vision and overall leadership. Setting KPI #39;s for project staff and clearly communicating objectives and expectations.
  • Monitoring the progress of Project components to ensure that the overall goals, schedules, budgets and benefits of the project will meet client expectations.
  • Deliver all reports within 30 days of field completion unless specifically discussed with client.
  • Detecting, Managing and providing early warning to the Management Team about Risks, Issues and Changes that will impact project delivery.
  • Ensuring positive team morale for all project staff. Innovative moral boosters are encouraged.
  • Creating strategies for risk mitigation on projects. PM is responsible for providing all project workers with everything required to perform their job safely (meets all OH amp;S requirements as a supervisor)..
  • Adherence to the policies, business processes, and standards established by the organization.
  • Planning and prioritizing activities to meet overall Project goals and objectives.
  • Performing team planning, assessments and evaluations.
  • Facilitating regular project reporting, reviews and audits with the assistance of Sr PM.
  • Designing and maintaining technical/project documentation.
  • Ensuring proper closure and archiving of project records .
  • Ensure all MSA #39;s/contracts are in place as per Acuren requirements with assistance of Sr PM.
  • Maintain billable targets set by management.
Requirements
  • Project Management training/certification (i.e. PMP) is an asset.
  • 3-5 years demonstrated experience in project management
  • Results oriented individual with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and time lines.
  • Ensuring that project deliverables are compliant with all applicable codes and standards.
  • Demonstrating a commitment to Safety, Environment, Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
  • Experience related to Emergency Response Planning projects is an asset
  • Experience in developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with clients, including new business development
  • Proven ability to successfully meet schedules and control costs
  • An aptitude for practical problem solving
  • Desire and ability to work in and contribute to project teams
  • Excellent team leadership skills and experience
