What you will be doing:The Family Centre is seeking an experienced recruiter to identify, source, and attract qualified candidates to fill open positions within our organization. You will work closely with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies to attract top talent. As a brand ambassador, you will act to maximize candidate and employee engagement to enhancetalent acquisition while upholding a high level of professionalism. You enjoy connecting with people,building relationships, and recruiting beyond job postings. You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and strong organizational skills, including well developed planning and time management abilities. You are comfortable, even energized, by working in a fast-paced environment andare able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously, while maintaining proficient attention to detail with exceptional accuracy.

  • Perform full-cycle recruitment activities, including attracting qualified candidates, interviewing, advising hiring managers, understanding recruitment needs and job requirements, and conducting reference checks
  • Post job postings to Indeed, TFC website, and other job posting websites as applicable using JazzHR
  • Develop and execute candidate sourcing strategies that include professional networking, direct sourcing, job boards, industry events, social media, etc.
  • Relationship development with relevant post-secondary schools to help build a prospective candidate pipeline through classroom presentations, career fairs, communicating with professors, etc.
  • Conducting initial interviews with candidates to assess their skills, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Coordinating individual and group interviews with hiring managers and managing the scheduling process
  • Coordinate job offers and new employee onboarding, including the preparation of new hire packages, scheduling orientation training, completing new hire documents and checklists, and initiating the personnel files
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with candidates, employees, and hiring managers to achieve recruitment goals
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate and job information in the applicant tracking system
What you will bring to the role:
  • Completed diploma/degree in Human Resources, or Business related field, or equivalent related experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in recruitment, preferably in a high volumeenvironment
  • Solid understanding of recruitment best practices
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a high level of emotional intelligence
  • Proficient using HRIS Systems, including applicant tracking systems , experience with JazzHR is considered an asset
  • Possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google applications
  • Previous experience working in the social services sector considered an asset

  • As a part of the selection process, The Family Centre will conduct reference checks with your most recent employers.
  • Police Information Check - Vulnerable Sector (completed within the last 6 months)
  • Child Intervention Records Check (completed within the last 6 months)
  • Reliable vehicle, available for regular useand valid driver’s license
