Your Opportunity:Are you passionate about improving healthcare outcomes throughout the province Do you have exceptional research, analysis, stakeholder engagement, strategic and critical thinking, and project management skills Are you an experienced and well-rounded communicator If so, the Cancer Strategic Clinical Network (CSCN), is hiring into a position that is perfect for you.Description:Reporting to the Assistant Scientific Director, the Research Associate will lead and carry-out complex research activities related to various Cancer Strategic Clinical Network projects, actively engaging with stakeholders to ensure research relevance and impact. With expertise in both research and evaluation, and preferably also in implementation science, they will develop comprehensive research and evaluation frameworks for these projects, promoting enhanced scientific rigour and evidence-based practice. Integral to this role is the development and execution of research and evaluation protocols, planning for data analysis, and creating effective data collection tools. The Research Associate will also work with evidence and data, conducting robust analyses, interpreting results and converting these into knowledge translation products. They will develop and publish peer-reviewed manuscripts and present detailed research and evaluation outcomes to a range of audiences in internal meetings, scientific conferences, and related settings, both within and outside the organization. Navigating the multifaced world of research and evaluation, they will multitask across various projects, showcasing adaptability and depth in their expertise. This role, involving a myriad of responsibilities and opportunities for impact, is a 1-year temporary full-time commitment. As the Cancer SCN team is provincial, this position may require some travel across Alberta.
