Stone Creek Resorts Inc. owns, develops, and operates world-class Golf Resorts and large-scale Real Estate Development in the most beautiful natural surroundings, Silvertip Resort in Canmore, Alberta and Eagle Ranch Resort in Invermere, British Columbia. Our integrated resorts include 1,290 resort accommodation units, 380 residential units, Conference Centre, Gondola, Spa and Wellness centre and 850 staff housing units in Canmore, AB. The Eagle Ranch Resort is zoned for 350 residential sites and an additional 100 resort lodging units in Invermere, BC. Stone Creek Resorts plans to develop $2-3 Billion in real estate over the next decade.The Sr VPamp; CFO role will report to the Presidentamp; CEO. The successful candidate will work closely with the entire executive corporate team to play a critical role in the commercial growth of Stone Creek #39;s resort communities, envisioning and leading the execution of current and future development projects that cater to visitors, seasonal and year-round residents. Current accounting and controllership functions will report into the Sr VPamp; CFO.Sr VPamp; CFO Responsibilities and Deliverables:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies and plans that align with the company #39;s overall growth strategy.
  • Planning company #39;s capital structure, including decisions related to equity and debt financing for the company #39;s planned significant development projects.
  • Ensuring the financial health of the organization by monitoring and analyzing financial performance, identifying and mitigating financial risks, and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensuring legal compliance with all financial regulations and laws, and maintaining robust internal controls and risk management practices.
  • Work with Executive team to create and maintain long term business plan and financial options for company.
  • Detailed review of monthly project proformas including review of budgets and cashflows, which includes monthly cost expenditures, sales flow/closings, accurate finance assumptions (including repayments) and proper eliminations as necessary.
  • Creation/preparation/review of economic analysis to build out.
  • Work with the Controller regarding financial statements, tax and audits.
  • Lead Corporate risk management requirements and coordinate with Controller the company #39;s comprehensive insurance needs, which include: builder #39;s risk, commercial general liability, business property, errors and omissions, director #39;s and officers, broker relations, financing compliance, various employee benefits insurance, loss of rental income, flood, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualification:
  • Senior Financial Executive with proven capability in raising significant amounts of capital and contribution to value creation.
  • Experience in capital markets, debt financing (short term construction debt/ long term mortgage), equity funding, and knowledge with grant/debt funding such as CMHC funding.
  • Provide financial leadership and input to the company #39;s business plan.
  • Innovative performance driven problem solver and an ability to carefully evaluate financial plans.
  • Strong working capabilities with legal teams, cyber security and IT requirements.
  • Contributes to strong team culture and ability to link all aspects of corporate activities.
  • Comfortable with challenging basic assumptions, decision-making and direction.
  • Business Degree, CPA, CBV, MBA, Law Degree and/or CFA designation is an asset.
  • Prepared to relocate to company head office in Calgary, Alberta.
