For more information, follow Telesat on X and LinkedIn or visit www.telesat.comThe Telesat Lightspeed Project Analyst will help drive the Telesat Lightspeed Program by coordinating information, providing support through data analysis, and contributing to overall strategy and performance evaluation of complex program operations.This position is within the Lightspeed Program Management Office and will support the PMO and various segment Project Mangers working on the Lightspeed Program. The ideal candidate has previous experience as a ProjectAnalyst andis enthusiastic about being part of a team that is diverse and at the top of its game.Main Responsibilities - The Project Analyst will work with other team members in the following capacity:Contribute to Project Planning:- Prepare and maintain detailed plans for the Lightspeed Program and Projects,- Determine deliverable timelines, possible issues, resource allocation.- Participate in strategic planning with regards to program development- Create and maintain Program communications.Evaluate and Monitor Progress- Creating and managing reports and documentation in relation to the project; including timelines, resource plans, and meeting minutes- Finding out the needs of users have and verifying this using data.- Tracking, analyzing, reporting on, and forecasting project shortfalls and metrics.- Prepare presentations and regular status reports, serving as the main source of information about the project to external teams.- Focusing on risks and milestone managementEducationamp; Experience Required:- 5+ years of experience in project analysis, project management, project oversight and coordination- Strong working knowledge of project management, collaboration and productivity tools- Experienced and skilled in the use of planning and scheduling tools- Strong verbal and written communication skills in dealing with clients, internal and external stakeholders, senior management and staff.- Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical individuals.- Experience with multi-disciplinary, high-performing teams- A team player, collaborative and independently driven.- Must demonstrate a flexible, open-minded attitude and have strong interpersonal skills.- Experience effectively leading meetings and facilitating groups.Educationamp; Experience Asset:- Bachelor #39;s degree in business, Computer Science or related field- Experienced and skilled in the use of Primavera as a scheduling tool- Experienced in the use of MS Project and Jira- Experienced in the use of PowerBI- Bilingual in English and French an asset (but not required)Decision Makingamp; Supervision:- In this role, the incumbent will have influence on the schedule, Milestone management, risk management, and execution of the applications and infrastructure for the Lightspeed program.
