Job Description

Valard, is Canada’s premier utility contractor, as well as head of the Valard Group of Companies AND part of the Quanta Group, the largest electrical power contractor in North America. Valard has full-service capabilities for transmission, distribution, substations, foundations, telecommunications and renewable energy.Valard Construction LP is seeking qualified Distribution Journeyman Powerline Technicians/Apprentices, Underground Power lineman, Civil Underground Powerline to join our project in Drayton Valley, Alberta. We are looking for self-motivated, team players who are willing to work as part of a dynamic team that provides crucial support to Valard’s projects.RequirementsDuties

  • Red Seal Powerline Technician Certificate or Powerline Technician Apprentices Distribution experience a must.
  • Knowledgeable in overhead distribution power systems
  • Knowledgeable in underground distribution power systems
  • Heavy equipment experience is considered and asset
  • Standard First Aid (CPR/AED) is considered an asset
  • Class 1 or Class 3 license is considered an asset
  • Positive Attitude and good work ethic
