Job Description

ServcoCanada is looking for an Operations Assistant to join our team and continue to grow the Inspection and Non-Destructive Test Division.ServcoCanada is the familial brand name for a collection of companies across Canada. The position is demanding but rewarding and under the general supervision of the General Manager.As a valued member of the team, your core responsibilities will include:

  • Dispatch Board
  • Receive incoming phone calls to schedule inspection and assign Inspectors to work orders
  • Accounts Payable
  • Process incoming invoices for payment, including coding, approval and data entry
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Process sales invoices on a weekly basis, both external and related customers and manage collection process of sales invoices, including weekly updates to Controllers
  • Payroll
  • Process weekly payroll, ensuring completeness and accuracy, including allowances, from upload of mobile data through approval process to upload of electronic payment to employees
  • Administration
  • Maintain ISO and safety records
  • Prepare or assist with preparation of quotes for miscellaneous clients
  • Order supplies as required for inspectors
  • Other duties as assigned.
The following qualifications are required of the successful candidate:
  • Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail
  • Excellent ability to think quickly and make the most effective decision in high-pressure situations
  • Ability to work in a team environment with interpersonal communication skills - written and oral
  • Strong ability to organize tasks and work within defined timelines
  • Preference is given to those with a strong construction background
  • Own transportation is required

Our office is located just 3 minutes east of the perimeter on HWY 207 so own transportation will be required.The ideal candidate will have experience with CMiC Software and intermediate Excel skills.
