We currently have an opening for an Accounting Administrator in our Duncan office.At ETHOS, our passion is assisting clients in achieving their employment goals by providing innovative and tailored solutions in their job search journey. We have employment programs, business development programs, and digital learning supports that we offer through our WorkBC Centres in Duncan and Ladysmith.The Accounting Administrator will report directly to the Director of Finance and will be responsible for managing the bi-weekly payroll process, AP/AR, and assisting employees/managers with expense-related queries. The Accounting Administrator collaborates with members of the Finance Team to ensure smooth financial operations in all facets of the company.The Accounting Administrator may, from time to time, have the opportunity to provide coverage for other positions within the organization, as requested by the DOF. These activities promote a learning environment and contribute to organizational succession planning.Essential Qualifications and Required Skills:

  • Diploma in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience
  • Ongoing learning specifically related to Financial Management (e.g. workshops, articles, and other methods to remain up-to-date in the field)
  • 5 years’ experience with processing payroll and remittances
  • Familiar with office administration and human resources processes
  • Proficient with Sage accounting software
  • Experience in accounts payable payments and monitoring recurring transactions
  • Proactively track and record accounts receivables and follow-up with any outstanding invoices
  • Strong clerical support such as: filing and tracking employee expense, claims; and maintaining accurate records and files
  • Timely processing of bank reconciliations and credit card transactions
