Job Description

Join our team today!As an Oak Taphouse prep and line cook, youll learn to prepare and cook top-notch food in a challenging, but super rewarding and fun team environment!The Job:

  • Setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
  • Preparing food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
  • Cooking menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen crew
  • Answer, report and follow instructions
  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Requirements:
  • We can train anyone that wants to learn and has a positive attitude, so experience is preferred, but not mandatory
  • Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures, or willingness to learn
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
  • Familiar with industry’s best practices
  • Wants to work hard and be thorough and takes pride in their work
  • Wants to have fun and be part of a community-oriented business
