In accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values, and strategic directions of Vancouver Island Health Authority patient safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone at VIHA and as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.Reports to and under the direction of the Manager - Adult Day Programs, the multi-site ADP Coordinator. In conjunction with staff, clients and volunteers, pilot tests the new Adult Day Program standards at two VIHA sites: Waldon House (Cowichan Lodge) and Chemainus ADP. Ensures new ADP standards are implemented at the two sites, participates in the planning and implementation of Client activation programs and interventions. Participates in the evaluation of the programs from the clients perspective and when required participates in client review meetings with relevant clinical staff. Participates and assists in supervision of activity workers. Travel is a requirement of this position and transportation arrangements must meet the operational requirements of the Vancouver Island Health Authority.QUALIFICATIONS:Education, Training And ExperienceGraduation from a recognized recreational program plus 1 years recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
