Job Description

Equestrian Coach On CallHorses have been central to life at Queen Margarets school for over 100 years and for 60 years of those years our dedicated Equestrian Program has graduated young competitive riders, who are distinguished by their competence and confidence in the equestrian world as well as by their successes in other aspects of their lives.Queen Margarets School is seeking qualified Equestrian Coaches (on call) to join our team of talented, dedicated and professional horse people for the 2022 – 2023 School Year to support the ongoing growth and development of the schools Equestrian Program.Candidates must have a minimum Equine Canada Instructor of Beginners certification.Responsibilities

  • As directed, teach lessons assigned by the Rider Development Manager or designate
  • Ensure the safety of students and horses during lessons
  • Ensure horses, tack, and equipment are put away properly after each lesson
  • Be a role model for students at all times in terms of personal actions
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned
Qualifications
  • Equine Canada coaching certification (minimum Instructor of Beginners)
  • Knowledge of best practice instructional methodologies
  • Highly effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
Preference will be given to candidates who also have the following skills and qualifications:
  • Equine Canada Level 1 Coaching or higher
  • Standard First Aid or above
  • Valid drivers license and clean driver abstract
