General Information:Majestic mountains, the rugged West Coast Trail, serene lakes, and one of the world’s tallest free-standing timber rail trestles all lie in the picturesque Cowichan Valley Regional District (CVRD). Just 50 km north of Victoria and 30 km south of Nanaimo, the Cowichan Valley offers a warm climate and numerous parks, recreational, cultural, and social opportunities.We are seeking a visionary leader to join the CVRD in the key role of Manager, Arts & Culture Division. We are looking for someone who is inspired to leverage their business acumen and passion for the performing and digital arts to diversify our programs and services in the CVRD and the Cowichan Performing Arts Centre as vehicles for cultural appreciation and educational transformation.If you are an intuitive listener and synthesizer of ideas and possibilities we are interested in hearing from you.Reporting to the General Manager, Community Services, the Manager, Arts & Culture Division is responsible for the administration and leadership of the Cowichan Performing Arts Centre (731-seat theatre) and the Arts & Culture Division programs and services within the CVRD.
