Job Description

Securiguard is currently looking for a driven and efficient Operations Coordinator /Scheduler to provide support to our Durham Ontario Region.Working with our internal and external stakeholders, the Operations Coordinator oversees the administrative and organizational communication between the office and staff. The Operations Coordinator will also be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our scheduling, reporting and recruitment functions.The role is fast-paced, and the ideal candidate will be quick-thinking, metrics-orientated and adept at multi-tasking and problem-solving.What you would do:

  • Being the first point of contact for employees and staff. Will ensure that all concerns & issues are addressed in a timely manner. This may mean coordinating with staff requests that require follow ups.
  • Scheduling employees while following the Ontario Labour Standards. Scheduling also includes coordinating with employees regarding vacation/leave requests.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to all clients, guards, prospective clients and Securiguard representatives.
  • Managing and oversees employee information changes and general communications.
  • Managing communications regarding scheduling changes and employee requirements with all clients.
  • Working closely with site supervisors/managers for staffing, uniforms, certification and supplies required for site.
  • Maintaining accurate, detail orientated record keeping and reporting.
  • Coordinating site specific training and certifications.
  • Managing all pay rates and overtime for each employee to ensure labor standards are being followed.
  • Completion of safety documentation, office audit, site audits and employee audits.
  • Administration and submission of all relevant security clearance paperwork.
What you Bring:
  • 2+ years of administration and/or operations coordination experience
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in business administration, human resources, or other related fields would be considered an asset
  • Enthusiastic and committed approach to customer service.
  • Sound judgment and decision making skills with a hands-on problem solving approach and able to remain calm under pressure and take control of incidents.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing deadlines efficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly to clients and staff; ability to effectively mediate and intervene in workplace, client and staff issues.
