Job Description

FUNCTION: To perform all functions necessary to ensure that all lodge assets, guest rooms, public space and operating equipment, and grounds are kept well maintained to maximize the guest satisfaction.RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Respond and attend to guest repair requests.
  • Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues.
  • Perform regular property inspections of the resort including common areas, building exterior, and landscape.
  • Conference and Wedding set-up as requested by catering department.
  • Landscaping, grass cutting, weeding, snow removal, and general ground maintenance
  • Accountable for maintaining grounds by clearing brush and debris by sweeping, cleaning up litter, replacing or making repairs, clearing drains; including trimming shrubs and trees.
  • Laydown mulch, wood chips, peat moss
  • Grooming of the beach and shore edge as well chair/lounger maintenance and cleaning
  • Monitor and maintain the condition of playground and sports areas.
  • Maintain the appearance and safety of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots· Support to ensure signage throughout the Lodge property is in place and good condition
  • Operate and maintain a variety of maintenance equipment
  • Wash, clean and re-fuel all equipment after use
  • Communicate each day’s activities and problems that occur to the other shifts using approved communication programs and standards.
  • Contribute to the hotel’s preparedness during fire and safety emergencies.· Promote and maintain a safe and healthy work environment adhering to the legislation set out by Occupational Health and Safety
  • Conducts self with regard for the safety of employees; is aware of safety and evacuation procedures
  • Report to supervisor/manager any health and safety violations
  • Perform other duties as required to ensure the smooth operation of the department and the resort.
  • Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety program
  • Performs related tasks and participates in special projects as assigned by management.
