Communications Manager (Corporate Finances)Our client in the insurance industry is seeking a skilled Communications Manager to join their team on a one-year maternity leave contract. This role involves working closely with high-level stakeholders in a fast-paced environment, with a particular focus on managing communications around the quarterly earnings process.What is in it for you:• Salaried: $51 per hour.• Incorporated Business Rate: $61 per hour.• 12-month contract.• Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.• Weekday schedule from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.• Hybrid work: 3 office days, from Tuesday to Thursday.• Opportunity to work in a dynamic and professional environment.• Join a passionate and inclusive team of professionals.Responsibilities:• Support media relations outreach for Quarterly Results cycles, and manage media opportunities for the Chief Financial Officer.• Draft news releases, key messages, and Q amp;A materials for external audiences aligned with corporate and financial priorities.• Develop strategic messaging for Corporate Reputation efforts, including briefings on emerging issues and executing timely communications.• Contribute to communications for Annual Reporting and the Annual General Meeting, including talking points, speeches, and letters.• Collaborate with stakeholders to protect the company’s reputation, managing both proactive and reactive communications tied to key issues.• Maintain governance of reputation efforts, track key issues, and manage shared document repositories• Provide communication support to senior leadership.What you will need to succeed:• Bachelor #39;s degree.• 5+ years of communications experience.• 5+ years of experience with quarterly earnings in financial services.• Proven project management skills.• Experience providing communications support to senior leadership.• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, media relations databases, and media monitoring platforms such as Cision, Factiva, PublicRelay, or LexisNexis.• Experience using Microsoft Teams for distribution.• Strong written and verbal communication skills.• Creative and strategic thinker with good judgment and conceptual abilities.• Ability to influence at multiple levels across the organization.• Proven ability to leverage data and analytics to inform communications strategy.• High attention to detail.• Ability to work quickly and independently in a high-energy environment.• Experience in publicly held companies preferred.Why Recruit ActionRecruit Action (agency permit: AP-2000003) provides recruitment services through quality support and a personalized approach to job seekers and businesses.
