We are seeking a talented Junior Interior Designer with strong technical skills to join our growing team and support a variety of exciting projects.Position OverviewAs a Junior Interior Designer, you will work closely with our senior design team, assisting in the development of creative concepts, translating ideas into detailed plans, and supporting project execution. Your focus will be on technical drawings and 3D modeling, so proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Revit is essential. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow within a collaborative and dynamic environment.Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Drafting: Create and modify accurate floor plans, elevations, and other technical drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • 3D Modeling and Rendering: Develop detailed 3D models in SketchUp to visualize design concepts and support client presentations.
  • Material and Finish Selections: Assist in sourcing materials, finishes, and furnishings that align with the design concept and budget constraints.
  • Collaboration with Design Team: Work closely with senior designers to develop and refine design concepts, ensuring projects meet functional and aesthetic goals.
  • Client Support: Participate in client meetings as needed, gathering information to help understand project needs and expectations.
  • Site Visits and Measurements: Conduct on-site measurements and observations to gather accurate data for project drawings and implementation.
  • Project Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design plans, material boards, schedules, and client correspondence.
  • Product Research and Vendor Coordination: Research new products, finishes, and materials and coordinate with vendors for samples and quotes.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design or related field.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in interior design or a related field (internships and co-op experiences count).
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Proficient in AutoCAD for detailed drafting and technical plans.
    • Skilled in SketchUp for 3D modeling and visualizations.
    • Working knowledge of Revit for project documentation and BIM modeling.
  • Design Skills: Strong sense of design principles, including color theory, spatial awareness, and functional layout planning.
  • Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented with a commitment to precision in all drawings, measurements, and specifications.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to present ideas and collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
  • Creativity and Adaptability: Enthusiastic about learning and evolving with new design trends, tools, and techniques.
