Job Description

Mailroom Clerk Our client in the printing industry is seeking a dedicated Mailroom Clerk to manage and process mail, packages, and documents efficiently. This role requires attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and the ability to operate various mail and printing equipment. The successful candidate will work on-site, ensuring the smooth operation of mailroom activities and contributing to overall workflow efficiency.What is in it for you:• Hourly salary of $22.58.• 11-month contract.• Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.• Weekday schedule from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.• On-site work in a dynamic environment.• Join a passionate and inclusive team of professionals.Responsibilities:• Prepare mail and packages for external shipment using services such as fax, air express, freight, and postal services.• Receive, sort, and process mail documents, packages, and supplies, notifying recipients promptly.• Perform basic printing tasks using color production printers.• Record and process accountable mail information, maintaining accurate logs.• Manage shipping and receiving activities using automated systems for tracking and management.• Arrange alternative courier or shipping services to meet customer needs.• Determine appropriate packaging based on standard guidelines.• Verify and maintain records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.• Operate mail equipment, including mail inserters, sorters, and finishing equipment.• Conduct quality checks on outbound mail to ensure accuracy and compliance.• Perform charge-back reporting for postage, air express, local delivery, and fax services.• Execute mail labeling and mail merge tasks, along with electronic mail distribution (opening, preparation, scanning, and distribution).• Handle fulfillment tasks, including assembly, packaging, and preparing kitted materials.• Follow mailroom security procedures meticulously.• Log, transmit, receive, and distribute faxes promptly.• Deliver and pick up mail according to scheduled routes.• Recommend workflow improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.• Track, trace, and resolve mail issues or concerns.• Monitor, order, and replenish supplies inventory.• Be physically capable of standing 80% of the time and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds.What you will need to succeed:• High School diploma or equivalent.• 6 to 12 months of experience in a customer service role.• 3 to 6 months of experience in an imaging document role.• Computer literacy, with intermediate skills in Microsoft Office.• Ability to operate high-volume mail and insertion equipment.• Strong communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal.• Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.• Team player with a willingness to learn and grow.• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English.• A valid driver’s license.Why Recruit ActionRecruit Action (agency permit: AP-2000003) provides recruitment services through quality support and a personalized approach to job seekers and businesses.
