This role ensures that IT projects align with the organization #39;s strategic objectives and are executed successfully. The manager leads a team of project managers and business analysts who are tasked with analyzing business needs, identifying solutions, and managing resources, budgets, risks, and schedules. This role requires close collaboration with senior management, project managers, and stakeholders to prioritize projects and optimize the IT portfolio.Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and oversee projects to ensure timely completion within budget and agreed scope
  • Designate resources, prepare budgets, and monitor progress. Develop and manage detailed project schedules and work plans
  • Shape the approach for project loading, approval, and prioritization on the roadmap in collaboration with senior management
  • Ensure portfolio and project reporting is up-to-date with key metrics, including start/end dates, current budget, resources, PM assigned, and high-level status
  • Lead the review process, focusing on significant changes in timing, scope, resources, and cost, while analyzing portfolio trends, issues, dependencies, and metrics
  • Prepare budgets based on work scope and resource requirements; track costs to meet the budget and manage vendor and supplier contracts, assigning tasks and communicating deliverables
  • Guide and mentor a team of Business Analysts and Project Managers, fostering professional growth and development
  • Provide direction and support to ensure high-quality deliverables, promote collaboration, and enhance the overall effectiveness of the team
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor #39;s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in IT project or portfolio management
  • Experience leading complex projects and meeting objectives on large-scale (divisional and/or organizational) transformational initiatives with emphasis on project management, organizational strategic direction, risk management and vendor management
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, MS Project, JIRA)
  • Familiarity with software and hardware architecture, especially Microsoft technology stack and SAP
  • Ability to collaborate with the business, understand their challenges, and design optimal solutions and architecture to address those challenges
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
  • PMP, PgMP, or similar certification is preferred.
  • Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills in English. Knowledge of French and/or Portuguese a bonus.
