Job Description

Senior Data Science EngineerOur client, a leading financial services provider in the insurance industry, is seeking a talented Senior Data Science Engineer to join their team. This role involves supporting the global hardware asset management process, focusing on managing infrastructure hardware assets from acquisition to retirement. The successful candidate will ensure critical hardware asset details are accurately discovered and populated in the CMDB/CMS, maintaining peak operations and support including EOL while in service.What is in it for you:• Hourly salary of $51.51 to $61.35, based on experience.• 12 to 18-month contract.• Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.• Hybrid work: 3 office days, from Tuesday to Thursday.• Opportunity to work in a dynamic and professional environment.• Join a passionate and inclusive team of professionals.Responsibilities:• Plan, monitor, record, and track hardware assets to ensure compliance with available hardware standards, service agreements, and warranties.• Assist in forming procurement strategies to optimize technology spending across the organization.• Define hardware configuration standards and evaluation criteria to aid in purchasing and acquiring new assets.• Manage the hardware inventories of multiple locations and remote users.• Coordinate all hardware assets through each stage of the lifecycle.• Track hardware globally in end-user and hosted environments (private and public cloud, and data center).• Collaborate with multiple distributed team members to improve, deliver, and support an international HAM framework with associated services, governance, and controls.• Initiate forensic investigations and reviews of hardware and/or software assets to uncover non-compliance, policy and process breaches, reduce risk, and remediate issues.• Contribute to the establishment and implementation of ITAM policies, processes, and procedures for IT asset planning and compliance.• Demonstrate an overall understanding of cloud concepts, services, security, architecture, licensing, usage, and support.• Optimize cost efficiencies in Azure Cloud, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, Software Asset Management (SAM), and Hardware Asset Management (HAM) programs.• Track compliance with ITAM asset tagging standards and other innovative ITAM technology solutions.• Generate monthly ELP, Cloud, and SaaS allocation reports itemizing costs by business unit.What you will need to succeed:• 3 years of experience with IT hardware procurement, purchasing, and/or asset management.• Experience using management tools, including automated discovery configuration tools and processes (ServiceNow, SCCM, etc.).• Experience working with configuration items (CI) to define remediation plans.• Experience with internal sourcing, IT leadership, IT project management, and legal to support hardware purchases and projects.• Experience collaborating successfully with geographically and culturally diverse multi-functional teams.• Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional preferred but not required.• Skills in analyzing CMDB data to highlight anomalies and errors and to find opportunities for improvement.• Decision-making skills in the maintenance, automation, and integration of HAM and CMDB tools and supporting data sources (via inventory, discovery, procurement).• Skills to nurture relationships with external vendors, resellers, and internal partners including accounting, procurement, legal, IT service management, and IT platform teams.• Confident presentation and facilitation skills, good interpersonal and leadership skills to enable engagement with senior management and collaborators at all levels.• Solid grasp of hardware and/or software asset lifecycle management processes including planning, acquisition, deployment, monitoring, decommission, and disposal.• Knowledge of CMDB and ITIL concepts, particularly Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM), Common Services Data Model (CSDM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), and IT Asset Management (ITAM).• Knowledge managing and promoting data quality, integrity, and security of ITAM and CMDB repositories.Why Recruit ActionRecruit Action (agency permit: AP-2000003) provides recruitment services through quality support and a personalized approach to job seekers and businesses.
