Job Description

Position Summary:Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources (Systemsamp; Projects), the Specialist, Human Resources (Systemsamp; Projects) acts as the subject matter expert and a functional lead while providing day to day operational support and troubleshooting as well as support for upgrades and enhancements for the Company’s Human Capital Management System (HCMS), Oracle HCM Cloud, branded internally as CONNECT.The Specialist, Human Resources (Systemsamp; Projects) collaborates with our site Human Resources and Operations teams as well as Shared Services teams related to the Core HR, Absence, Recruitment, Onboarding and Talent modules within the CONNECT system. The incumbent will work as part of a team that supports the CONNECT system and provides support for other CONNECT modules such as Reportsamp; Analytics, Learning and Payroll. The incumbent will also maintain HR user security within the system. This is a key role as part of the Shared Services Human Resources team that supports the entry and integrity of employee data while delivering exceptional guest service and team member experiences. Key Accountabilities

  • Acts as the subject matter expert and functional lead for the company’s Core HR, Absence, Recruitment, Onboarding and Talent modules
  • Maintains user security, including setting up access and areas of responsibility for site HR and administrative roles for users within Shared Services and IT
  • Provides daily operational support and issue resolution for end users and the company’s site HR and Operations teams, escalates technical issues to technical support teams, and follows issues through to resolution
  • Prepares and maintains CONNECT department administration manuals and end-user documentation as it relates to assigned modules
  • Educates users on CONNECT and facilitates end-user training
  • Works with applicable stakeholders and Systemsamp; Projects team to implement and establish system workflows and functionality, collect business requirements, perform gap analysis, conduct testing and analyze results to determine system requirements for ongoing enhancement of the CONNECT system and for future project phases, including implementing CONNECT for site locations currently on a different system
  • Responsible for and assists with quarterly releases impacting assigned modules of CONNECT, including reviewing Oracle’s documentation and analyzing requirements, preparing and performing test cases for new features, updating documentation and providing training
  • Audits and monitors data integrity within CONNECT and runs reports to understand trends and areas for improvement.
  • Works with the Systemsamp; Projects team on any future implementation of other CONNECT modules which may include Workforce Compensation and the Talent Management suite
  • Supports the Systemsamp; Projects team on maintenance of other CONNECT modules, including but not limited to Reportsamp; Analytics, Learning and Payroll
  • Takes on other duties as assigned
Education and Qualifications
  • Post-Secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field or suitable combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources or Operations, including a focus on project-based or systems work
  • Experience with cloud based HCM (specifically Oracle HCM Cloud) or other cloud Human Resource Management Systems an asset
  • Ability to assess business processes, conduct gap analysis and propose system workflows
  • Experience creating and maintaining end-user documents and manuals
  • Driven self-starter, with a systems and project focus
  • Excellent attention to detail, along with strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical, enterprising, diplomatic and proactive at solving problems
