Legacy Co-op is hiring an Agro Manager on a Full-Time basis for our Agro location in Ebenezer, Saskatchewan.Who we are:Co-op does business differently. The Agro Centre at Ebenezer currently has an overall sales volume of $8 million, 4 employees, and product offerings in fertilizer, bins, chemical and seed.What you’ll do:The Agro Manager is responsible for growing sales, building key customer relationships, and providing specialized agronomist services, while providing strategic direction and leadership within all aspects of the department. Working collaboratively with the Management team;You will actively seek opportunities to increase sales within the department, implement marketing initiatives and sales strategies, adopt new products and build/manage key customer relationships to expand market share and achieve measurable results.Research, plan, develop, and oversee the execution of an extensive customer contact program for the Agro department.You will be responsible for effectively communicating with and managing your team including but not limited to; scheduling, approving payroll, hiring, onboarding, monitoring productivity, performance evaluations, training and development with an emphasis on safety and discipline and discharge.You will encourage employee engagement while keeping guest service standards consistently high.You will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, tracking inventory, managing expenses, and all related retail functions to ensure operational success and profitability.Who you are:You have a passion for sales and are looking for a leadership challenge. You also have:An Agriculture Degree from a recognized institution in Agriculture or Agriculture business.A Professional Agrologist Designation, Certified Crop Advisor Designation or are willing to obtain3+ years of proven ability and experience running a successful retail department3+ years experience leading and supervising employees.Extensive experience and/or knowledge in Crop Inputs & Agricultural Equipment with respect to sales and marketing or demonstrate the ability to obtain.Good understanding of MS Office Suite and basic computer skillsThe Agro Advance Program offered through Legacy Co-op and FCL or demonstrate ability to obtain.A class 5 driver’s license with the expectation to maintain throughout employment and have the availability to be on call with ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.Financial management skills with high attention to detailAbility to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.General knowledge of Co-op retail systemsWe encourage our Team Members to take advantage of learning opportunities, to grow and develop and to foster a culture of teamwork and innovation.At Co-op, we embrace diversity and inclusion, and we’re working to create a workplace that is as diverse as the communities we serve.
