GOVERNANCE SPECIALISTFull-Time Permanent - Competition #25-25Position SummaryIf you are a skilled professional who has a passion for corporate governance and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of boards, then this is an exciting opportunity to join ASEBP in the position of Governance Specialist.The ASEBP Trustees operate under a Deed of Trust, with five Trustees appointed by the Alberta Teachers #39; Association and five Trustees appointed by the Alberta School Boards Association. The 10 Trustees comprise the Governing Body and have established two standing committees, the Executiveamp; Governance Committee and the Auditamp; Risk Committee, as well as three Appeal Bodies.The Trustees have a fast-paced governance schedule from September through June when the Governing Body and most committees meet monthly.Reporting to the Manager, Governance, the successful candidate will utilize their corporate governance expertise to support the Governance team in providing service and advice to the Governing Body, its two standing committees, and senior management, contributing to a positive working relationship for all.Key ResponsibilitiesOrganize and manage meetings.
