Job Description

  • Must have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in equipment.
  • Must have the ability to quickly identify problem situations, evaluate alternative causes and produce workable solutions and work positively within a team to achieve a common goal.
  • Hours: Project dependent. Overtime is required during the busy season.
  • Must be willing to working evenings and weekends when needed.
  • Hourly rate is dependent on experience.

  • Operate scrapers to move, haul, and grade earth efficiently
  • Assist in site preparation by clearing debris, leveling terrain, and ensuring a safe work area
  • Support road construction activities by maintaining proper grading and material distribution
  • Conduct pre-operational equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations and job site efficiency
  • Adapt to changing site conditions and work efficiently in various weather conditions
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards
  • Contribute to overall project success by maintaining productivity and attention to detail
  • Assist the crew on-site as required
Experience and Certification Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years #39; experience in heavy civil earthworks, construction.
  • Minimum 2 years #39; of experience operating a scraper.
  • Understanding of computerized controls and electronics.
  • Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS 09 or 2020), WHMIS 2015, and ground disturbance 201 are required.
  • A successful pre-access drug and Alcohol test may be required depending on the project.
  • Valid class 5 or better driver #39;s license with clean drivers abstract valid within 30 days of employment.
  • You have the ability to quickly identify problem situations, evaluate alternative causes and produce workable solutions and work positively within a team to achieve a common goal.
  • Leadership for Safety Excellence. (LSE Proficiency level certified)
  • Proficient English language skills required.
  • Reliable means of transportation required.
  • Time management skills.
